Lightly tap the foot pedal once, then let go. 70% of the time you will only need quick access to your bin, to dispose of something small. The foot pedal saves using your hands, and afterwards the front of the bin closes smoothly all by itself.

Tip open, then stop. Practical when cooking or clearing up. Your bin remains open but doesn’t take up much space.
